This high ranking officers Gunto is in exceptionally good condition, the koshirae is absolutely pristine, with the officers family mon on the fully chiseled back strap tsuka in silver. The saya is fitted with a leather combat cover. The blade is absolutely flawless from the shinto period, it is in high quality Japanese polish. Good original condition swords like this are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
