This is an excellent Katana made by one of the leading Gendaito Sword makers Takahashi Yoshimune. This is a flawless katana fully repolished in Japan, it is mounted in shirasaya, it also has the original Gunto Koshirae with tsunagi and family mon on the tsuka with the original officers tassel. Yoshimune was the elder brother of Takahashi Sadatsugu, who was made a living national treasure. Yoshimune made high to superior grade gendaito. This sword is an excellent example of his superior workmanship.
