This magnificent Yori is believed to have belonged to Yano Denzaemon, a chief Samurai who belonged to the Daimyo feudal lord Arima Chumu Daisuke Tadayori in Kurume clan (有晔忠柄), (1642–1655).
This Yoroi is accompanied by the original storage box, which has the owners name written on the front. It has the Maru-ni Baika Mon (Plum flower in a circle crest) on two of the other sides, this also interestedly has an outer barred grid case for transport. This was used to transport the armor to the battlefield.
This is a very historically important suit of armor which is of museum quality. It is in a wonderful preserved state.
